Surfari is working with the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department this spring to provide a Youth stand up paddle race training program. The SUP program is designed to teach the basics of SUP and have let kids have fun in the water together! Expanding on their basic paddle skills we will also be learning basic stand up paddle racing techniques. We are offering two sessions starting after April vacation.

During the class, kids will learn how to stand up paddle. We will focus on stroke technique, water safely, etiquette, race techniques and more. Students will be able to try out different boards and paddles from surf models to race boards. All equipment including wetsuits, boots, and life jackets is included. This program will prepare the kids to participate in Surfari’s Boston Tea Paddle charity stand up paddle race event at Liberty Wharf, Boston on June 16th and 17th.

The Friday Session is already full but we are offering a second session on Thursdays. The first one starts on Thursday April, 26th and continues weekly until Thursday June 7th. Students meet at Manchester MemorialSchool cafeteria at 3pm and should be picked up at Surfari Stand Up Paddle & Surf at 4:30pm. Stand up paddling is offered to kids in grades 3-5 and the cost is $60.
