If you are looking for a SurfTech Joe Bark stand up board in the Boston area then head up to Surfari Sup & Surf on the North Shore. We have 12’6″ Bark Competitors and 14′ Dominators in stock as well as a new 12’6″ Joe Bark/Laird Hamilton model. The SurfTech Barks come in both TuffLite and ProElite constructions for that extra racers edge. Joe Bark is in a class by himself when it comes to stand up and prone paddle boards for racing and distance touring.
We have ridden all of the Bark SurfTech models here in New England and at the Battle of the Paddle in California. Surfari Team rider John O’hara won the APBA SUP race series in Salisbury Beach last year on his TuffLite 12’6″ Bark Competitor. Come see what Joe Bark has to ride…
I got out on a tiny day last week on my 18′ unlimited Bark and had a blast surfing an oversized missile! There was still a little background ground swell and offshore wind at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester and the waves were basically shin to maybe knee high. The waves were so small that they wouldn’t have been fun on a normal board but on a displacement hull race board, I had a good time. 18′ is a little extreme but a 12’6″ or 14 footer can be a lot of fun in teeny tiny microwaves. The Bark Competitor and Dominator are no strangers to waves and the new SurfTech Laird Barks also go good in and out of the surf line. These boards will get you out on the water stand up paddling some distance, racing around the buoys and maybe even surfing some microwaves this summer on Boston’s North Shore and beyond.
